Great Fun! Exploring and composing new rhythms and structures using traditional instruments.

All levels of experience welcome, Drums are limited, bring your own drums if you can.

Known benefits of drumming are;

Developing communication skills, listening and non–verbal skills, ability to concentrate, creative thinking, individual self-confidence and self-expression, leadership, team building & group work.

Playing repeated rhythms takes our brains into a meditative state.

Learning to follow is central to having a joyful time playing music.

Music is polyrhythmic and this rhythm is inside us,

Listening and responding to each other it gives us an alternative way of working and playing music together.

There's nothing more exhilarating than that first tentative solo

That great feeling after you master a rhythm, body music drops into place when you let go, break free from stress and fly!

After a brief introduction to safe technique, everyone can play regardless of age or ability.

This is a Full Moon celebration upon the Land. Karuna has outstanding far reaching views and the site with it’s forest gardens and newly planted diverse woodlands offers a unique & very positive energy that inspires the creative spirit, leaving you with feelings of heightened natural awareness and gratitude to life.

 *Please bring Vegetarian lunch to share. Hot/Cold drinks provided.

 *In the evening we will celebrate around a fire, make music, socialise, relax ...     everyone welcome to stay, overnight camping available.
