Permaculture introduction

Times : Arrival & introduction 21 July Friday eve 4pm onward, Saturday & Sunday 8am – 5pm.
Fee : Full rate , includes all meals - £150 to £185 (Sliding scale - pay what you can afford according to your income).
Concessionary rate is available for those with no income £130 (limited to 4 places)..
Camping fee £6 per person per night.

Food: 3 fab meals a day will be provided as well as hot/cold drinks, food is always nutritious 'n' delicious,vegetarian and fresh – using organic produce grown at karuna whenever possible.

Fionn Quinlan (AUS) & Laura Quinlan (UK) are international permaculture designers and practitioners based in Sub-tropical Northern New South Wales, where they are developing a 21 acre site into an abundant, multifaceted farm-garden. Together they have experience working in tropical, sub-tropical, cool and cold temperate climates. They have worked and studied with many internationally renowned permaculture practitioners, including co-creator of the Permaculture concept, David Holmgren and pioneers Geoff Lawton, Robyn Francis, Robin Clayfield.
With over a decade of experience, their teaching methodology and educational approach has been applied and developed in countries such as India, Ghana, Cambodia, Australia and the UK, with their central theme being emancipatory education, or educational empowerment.
Fionn & Laura and presently managing Djaning farm an emerging permaculture demonstration site in Australia, their project is neighbouring Geoff Lawton's Permaculture Research Institute, they had a system of earth works installed by Geoff Lawton's crew as well as plenty of advice.
At karuna you will be able to see & learn from examples of permaculture design that have been establishing over the past decade and see Permaculture in action all around you.
* The course will include a visit to one other nearby site.
During the 2 days long introduction course, we will be learning about:
